CALL FOR PAPER: THE LIGHT OF HOLY SPIRIT
The Exhibition will be hosted during Koinè (Fiera di Vicenza, 25-27 October 2020) in the Religious Building Components area. The Exhibition will include large samples of contemporary artistic stained glasses and mosaic, and large reproductions of some of the most important church stained glass windows and mosaics created by the participating workshops.
Contemporary European Stained Glass Windows and Mosaics
In the Liturgy, stained glass windows and mosaics are tangible and intangible objects at the same time: apart from illuminating and decorating the celebration space, they promote spiritual and theological journeys of light and beauty. Similar to complex paintings, when they adopt a figurative style, they become part of the iconographic program of the church where they are installed.
Koinè Ricerca’s Scientific Committee has set as selection criteria for the Exhibition a different portrayal of the Holy Spirit other than as a dove. The Exhibition is curated by Prof. Angelomaria Alessio; for further info on this event, you can write to him at a.alessio@alessioconsulting.it
PARTICIPATION: REQUIRED MATERIALS AND DEADLINES
The Workshop that wish to attend must submit the completed application form to the Exhibition Curator within Saturday 27 June 2020. Along with the application form, each Workshop is required to submit a short presentation (1000 characters including spaces) and a portrait photograph or corporate image (along with the company logo) that will be used for Koinè Websites and in the catalogues.
Participants are required to submit photos of the stained glass windows they want to display to the Exhibition Curator (a.alessio@alessioconsulting.it) within Saturday 27 June 2020. Koinè Ricerca’s Scientific Committee will supervise the Exhibition consistency, along with the Curator.
