Koinè Experience: art exhibitions of 2019 edition
A new concept of immersive experience will be guiding visitors to Koinè.
Exhibitions are divided into two groups:
- Open access, on request (application form on the last page).
- On selection, based on sketch or prototype, for Koinè Ricerca exhibition.
THE AGORA FOR DEVOTIONAL JEWELLERY
In the heart of the area dedicated to the Devotional Jewellery stands, there will be a display area, the Agora of Devotional Jewellery, where each firm in this sector can exhibit one of its own creations.
VESTMENTS FOR THE FUTURE
Alongside the Arena dedicated to Training on Liturgy and the Church in Hall I, there will be an exhibition entitled “Albe per il Futuro” [Vestments for the Future], which has been developed as a result of studies and research by important companies in the textile industry.
FLOWER DESIGN
Alongside the Arena dedicated to Training on Liturgy and the Church in Hall I, there will be an exhibition entitled “Design per l’Arte Floreale” [Flower Design], which brings together new lines, prototypes and items that can be used for floral decorations in church, in which each business in this particular sector will be showcasing one or more of its own creations.
FINE ART DESIGNS. THE HOLY FAMILY
Koinè will be organising an exhibition on IMAGES OF THE HOLY FAMILY, including both “souvenirs” from family blessings and “santini” or holy pictures, and also genuine items of worship (framed artwork, ceramic items, and wall sculptures).
NEW TEXTILES FOR LITURGY: THE CHASUBLEAt the very heart of Koinè 2019, where the halls meet, and along the central corridor of Hall 2, the exhibition “Nuovi Filati per la Liturgia. La Casula” [New Textiles for Liturgy: the Chasuble] is being held, where all companies in this field can display one of their own creations.
DOMOTIC CHURCH
Koinè has always paid special attention to the subject of holy buildings. For the 2019 edition, the architectural structure of a Church will be set up, in the wake of ideas and suggestions from the Holy See Pavilion at the Venice Biennial.
KOINE' ARTISTIC HANDCRAFT AREA
The Colonnade of Hall 4 welcomes the best world achievements in terms of Contemporary Artistic Stained Glass, Mosaics, Large canvases and Sculptural Works. The great world artists present their excellence
RELIGIOUS TOURISM VILLAGE
The Religious Tourism Village will be displaying images and symbols that characterize single destinations as well as, to continue the theme of the Holy Buildings Area, solutions and ideas for accessible, universal management of places of worship and their facilities for incoming visitors.
